I am a Children's Snowboard/ski Instructor at Vail Mountain in Colorado and in 2007 I saw that my students wouldn't wear the neck gators that their parents gave them - they just wanted to look cool and wear their thin, wet, slimy cotton or polyester bandanna so, in the fall of 2009 I decided that since I used to be an Insulation contractor and know a lot about wind / waterproofing, vapor barriers, radiant barriers and insulation that I could make a better fleece lined bandanna. I knew a nosepiece was going to be important, as well as windproofing and a good hook and loop attachment system.
